Welcome to a page on Learning Object Repositories & Referatories
A learning object repository (LOR) is a searchable collection of digital learning objects. Learning objects are resources that can be placed within various instructional contexts and are characterized by their reusability.
Learning objects present new opportunities for the use of technology in education. They take many forms, including images, animations, tutorials, assessment tools, videos, journal articles, and tests. Educators may include learning objects to enhance their teaching and students may use them to enrich their learning experience.
A referatory is a gateway, generally a collections of links, that guides users to learning object repositories.
